Hi, my 26 yr old son recently diagnosed with auto immune Hashimoto. Had all of his thyroid removed due to very large nodule. We where concerned it was cancer. Doctor even thought it was going to be cancer. But it was not. At the beginning of this had low testosterone and now after a year still has low testosterone. Now having to take injection, one every two weeks. I m concerned that he needs to get more test to figure what caused the low testosterone. He does have a child. What are long range effects of testosterone. Injections.
Hello, I read carefully your query and appreciate your concern regarding to your sons's health. Taking testosterone injections for a long period of time does not cause side effects. Of course when it it taken at appropriate doses. He should check the testosterone level as recommended by his treating physician in order to prevent over or under dosage of testosterone injections.
