I have had dizziness for three weeks. I can't go out alone for fearing of falling. My symptoms came on quickly the dizziness is not spinning but as if the floor is moving up and down and my lower legs feel like jelly and I actually fall forward. This happens all day. I'm ok when lying down, My doctor first prescribed betahistine Dihydrochloride which had no effect and has now prescribed cinnarizine tablets but these appear to be for Meniere's disease although I don't have nausea or buzzing in ears. I am desperate for this to go away. I have also developed a painful boil and wonder if this is a side effect of the tablets. Thanks
Hello! Meniere's disease is something which affect your health to a great extent. it is caused by excessive fluids in the middle ear.
Your medications are accurate and there's no need to change them. But to combat the symptoms it is important to maintain your lifestyle.
Low salt diet would help a lot. Make sure you do not consume a lot of water in a single go as it might precipitate the symptoms. Instead consume small quantities of water and keep yourself physically active. This would help you a lot.
