hi i am pcod patient married before 4 months.this month my periods was late for 45 days i went to gyn n she suggested me to take deviry tablets to induce my periods 2 times for 5 days.after my first tablet i got periods but the bleeding was less..from my 3rd i had light cramps while urinating..i am on metformin tablets twice in a day.i am concerned about the cramps because i havent had such cramps while urinating before..please advise
Hello, Thanks for letting us know your health concern. In the current scenario, please exclude urinary tract infection. Cramping pain can also be seen as a side effect of the medication. However, as you are experiencing the pain while passing urine, it is more likely to be due to an infection/spasm etc., in the urinary tract. Please continue using Metformin as usual. If a sonogram was not suggested, please ask your gynecologist if that is needed to check the status of the pelvic organs. Pregnancy should also be excluded before using any medication to induce a period. Hope this helps.
