Hi,
I understand youe concern.
PCOD is a condition causing irregular menses without ovulation, due to hormonal imbalance. Basic cause for it being insulin resistance.
Glucophase you are taking removes insulin resistance. I am afraid the dose you are taking is too small . The usual dosage advocated for PCOD patients ranges from 200 to 1000mgs/day-depending on need of the patient.
I would advise you to consult your doctor for adjustment of dose.
*Normal ovulation is in mid cycle.30-39 days dominent follicle is a sign of delayed ovum maturity.
The pain in legs, back & bloating suggests -
late ovulation,
Premenstrual symptoms.
*The routine treatment of PCOD consists of-
-Reduction of weight, diet control, exercises, Glucophase to decrease insulin resistance.
- Cyclical hormones to restart normal hormonal pattern,
- Ovulation induction by Clomphene citrate( after doctor's advise)
- Surgical treatment ( laproscopic)
Thanks.
