HI,
I understand your concern.
* to start with you should get your urine pregnancy test done to diagnose/exclude pregnancy.
- If it's -ve, you should take medicines to start your periods ( Tab. Regestrone -1 pill twice a day for 3 days) you will get bleeding a- within 8 days of stopping pills.
* after periods consult a gynecologist for the irregularity of periods. A physical examination followed by few blood tests ( thyroid function test, serum prolactin) & pelvic sonography ...the exact cause of the problem would be found ..followed by specific treatment to get your menstrual cycle normal.
For PCOD- Tab. clomiphene 50 mg is given from 2-5th day of periods for 5 days. This stimulates ovarian follicles to mature & rupture. In case rupture of mature follicle is delayed/absent.. Injection of HCG 5000IU is given to stimulate the rupture ( ovulation)
In case there is no improvement in 6 months of such treatment.. laproscopic drilling operation is performed-which helps.
Thanks.
