Hello, I'm a social worker in Hong Kong. And We've got an enquiry of a client who suffer from overdosing of spasmo proxyvon. And who wants to stop using it. Since spasmo proxyvon is not common in Hong Kong. What can I do for this client? (I'm a social worker of counseling centre of psychotropic substance abusers) Thanks
hello user , thanx for contacting HCM for your health related query. spasmoproxyvon is a narcotic pain reliever , working like opioid congener. so its hevy and repetitive use leads to dependence and withdrawal symptoms on quitting it - although not as heavy as of smack/heroine but they can be quite troublesome too like bodyaches, abdominal discomfort, watering eyes, insomnia etc - so better to get him/her evaluated with a addiction specialist/psychiatrist who may like to detoxify him first and then may start him with craving reducing drugs like naltrexone (but only after few clean days ) . If he can not visit one , than slow tapering of medicine can be attempted , like reducing one-two tablet every other day and consulting a physician if troublesome symptoms emerge. hope it helps . take care
