Suggest Treatment For TIA Having Symptoms Of Nervousness And Confusion
my mother 88 years suffers from TIAs from 1/5/2007 till now , last time was before 21 days it was in the form of confusion which subsided after she sleeped. But after this attack started changes in her personality in the form of nervousness, falt ideas , what happened ???
dear, the symptoms inTIA depends upon the area which is involved in that particular episode. As you may know that, in TIA there is transient deprivation of blood supply to a particular area of the brain. Therefore, deprivation of blood to area like a Frontal lobe may cause personality changes and behavioural disulturbances in the patient. At times, false idea "delusions " as we call it, may start appearing. Hallucintaions may be present too. The symptomatology is varied as the brain are involved could be large or so. As the problem of anxiety goes, it could be a part of existing disorder or some heart problem is likely to present- arrhythmia possibly. Therefore, I suggest you to consult your treating physician for the following complaints. Certain investigations like an MRI Brain, ECG may be required.
hope you find my advice helpful. thank you. stay healthy
