Suggest Treatment For A Bad Cough

Hi I have had a bad cough for around 3 weeks, I have a strange crackling noise when I exhale, blocked ears and a runny nose. I have just had a course of antibiotics and have now started to cough up phlegm which is white in colour. Should I go back to see my GP?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Take sputum and sent for culture and drug sensitivity and do a chest x-ray. Take tablet amoxicillin twice daily for 7 days.

Take steam inhalation through mouth and nose. Also, take any bronchodilator Syrup.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
