Suggest Treatment For A Bump On The Pubic Area

Concern with bump on pubic area? I m a teenage girl and I ve noticed this twice before, but they went away after awhile. But I have one again and want to know what it could be or what I can do. It s like a hard area. And in the larger hard area there is a bump that looks kind of like a pimple. Being curious, I tried to pop it, thinking it was a regular pimple. I popped it and a pretty good amount of pus came out followed by blood. The area is still hard. I m a virgin. I haven t shaved down there in a long time if that has anything to do with it. I would much appreciate knowing if this is something I should go get checked or anything

Hi.

First of all, start off by warm compresses to the region and keeping it as dry and clean as possible.

Once the bump flattens out, do shave the region because a hairy puhic region is unhygienic and unattractive. Sweat, dust and dirt easily accumulate in a hairy pubic region resulting in increased susceptibility to infections and also folliculitis (which is what you have right now).

Best wishes.
