Hi dear ,

This is very common to have sore tongue after treatment of sinusitis . There can be two reasons for this .

Sore tongue occur due to long use of antibiotics and the condition is known as oral thrush .

Sore tongue can also occur due to use of anti inflammatory drugs like non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) .

In both above cases usually the bumps go away by there own without any treatment .

I would suggest you to :

- Do warm saline rinses several times a day .

- Do betadine rinses twice a day .

- Apply orabase gel if there is irritation or pain .

If condition doesn't improve in 2-3 days the consult oral pathologist for proper examination and to rule out causes like oral herpes .

Doctor may prescribe antifungal drugs ( flucanazole ) or steroid ointments .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
