Hi I was playing in my pool today and I jumped in and I landed on my ear before anything else did and know It hurts and a little fluid is coming out and it feels great but when the fluid stops coming out it starts to hurt again. Id there anyyhinh I can do to help it?
Hi. It looks that your have made a small whole in the tympanic membrane by forced water into the ear. The pain is due to built up of thick fluid under pressure and once the fluid is drained out of the the pain is reduced. You need to take an antibiotic, antihistamine and anti-inflammatory medicines after a consultation with an ENT Surgeon.
Do not blow the nose or do any manipulation in to the ear. No drops can helps so do not instill anything into the ears. This may get healed within one to three weeks.
