Suggest Treatment For A Hard Lump On The Rib Cage
Hi I think my xiphoid process is swelled up its between my ribs when I am lying down its tender to touch it s a big hard lump and doesn t move when I touch it and makes me get gas trapped in my stomach and it causes bad heartburn I also get pain in my mid back any ideas? Thanks in advance

swollen hard xiphoid process can be an osteoma. its a benign condition. Heartburn may be due to acidity. Get an ultrasound of abdomen to rule out other causes. if the heartburn persists an endoscopy may be needed. Also get an EKG
