i have a mosquito like bump on my head that has been there for months. It itches, sometimes I scratch and it forms a scab then the scab heals but the itch never goes away. I just try not to scratch it or to scratch around it. But I have a few similar but more mild irritations also on top of my head. So it s like the same spots but only one is worse than the others. The other bumps sometimes don t even itch and sometimes they do. Any thoughts?
It seems that you may be having scalp prurigo. The cause would stress and tension. Kindly consult dermatologist for the firm diagnosis and its cause. If there is dandruff..take treatment to resolve it.
You may take antihistaminics and steroids in tappering doses. Apply mild steroid lotion on scalp at night. If needed, you may take ashort course of antibiotics.
Have patience..as the good result might take time..ok
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
