Suggest Treatment For A Itchy Red Rash On The Neck And Sore Throat

Hello - I have had a flat red (hot and a little bit itchy) rash on my neck and chest for the last 48 hours. It seems to have spread a little onto my torso and back but it is not as severe. I have had a mild sore throat / feeling a little tired. Not fever, however last week I had a runny nose / sore throat for a week.

Hi,

The rash on neck and chest you described may be viral rash..as you have rhinitis and pharyngitis...

You consult dermatologist and have firm diagnosis.

I would suggest antihistaminics to relieve itch sensation. Antibiotics like azithromycine may be taken. If needed, steroids in tappering dose may be taken. Apply calamine lotion on the lesions to feel better.

I hope this would help you.

Thanks.
