Hi,
This lump is normal. It is collected blood or a hematoma.
If there is pain, redness or fever then it could be mean that it is getting infected. In that case, you should see your Doctor who can examine you and advice you the right course of medicines most likely antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications. Also, put warm compresses over the swelling it will soothe the pain but done massage it.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
