I have a dime sized lump on the upper art of my tailbone. I have not fallen anytime recently. It is red and it sends out a constant pain through my hips. It hurts to sit or lay down. Even standing is becoming difficult if I m not in a certain position. It s been about four or five days since I first noticed and has gone worse. There is no blood or pus build up and the swollen lump is hard. I saw other similar cases saying it was a pilonidal (sorry if misspelled) cyst, foliculitis, or a bone bruise. Id like to know which dounds the most like my situation. I didn t want to go to the doctor because its an embarrassing area, and if it is not something very concerning I would like to avoid a doctors visit.
