Suggest Treatment For A Painful Bump On The Buttock
I have a bump just above my right buttcheek that has been there for about 10 years now. It doesn t bother me, never has. When it first appeared I thought it was a pimple and tried to pop it, though nothing ever drained from it. I left it alone and it has never gone away. It is purple in color. When I touch it, it feels kind of like a ball and if soft/squishy, though sometimes it is hard. It is completely painless. I have had doctors look at it in the past but they didn t know what it was and never provided treatment. Any idea what this could be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful bump on the buttock which occurs when there is bacterial infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis and when clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum, dead skin and bacteria get infected. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain environment dry and clean. You should wear loose clothes. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist once and get it examined. You can go for antibiotics such as clindamycin, corticosteroid ointment, hydroquinone, laser therapy for bump on buttock only after doctors prescription. Do not scratch these bumps as they will get infected , leave acne marks. Till now you should apply aloe vera gel and apply betnovate cream twice a day.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
