I woke up this morning at like 2am with my lips hurting so I figured I needed chapstick and as I applied, the right side of my bottom lip gave off pain and felt like there was a bump there...I checked in the mirror and there are maybe 2 small white bumps that really hurt...they are not that noticeable unless you really look closely but they hurt. What should I do?
As per your query you have small painful bumps on lips . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a allergic reaction . There can be many reasons for allergic reaction like sea foods , nuts , cosmetic products and insect bite . I would suggest you to apply ice pack to the affected area , take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and swelling , apply lip balm with broad spectrum sunscreen and SPF 15 . If condition dosen't get better in 24 hour then consult dermatologist for proper examination an rule out causes like herpes and canker sore . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment or antiviral drug like acyclovir .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
