Suggest Treatment For A Painful Bump On The Perineum Area
I (female) have a bump near my perineum that almost looks like a pimple, i ve had it for maybe a couple months and nothing major has happened so i left it alone. It starting hurting a bit and i thought it could be a pimple so tried popping it and it was just a little blood and a very small piece of what i can only explain that it looked like a small hard ball of puss. It s all super duper small like quarter of a pea size. Not sure if I should be concerned. Still hurts a little.
This is common in the genital area, it most likely is a simple ingrown hair that would have got infected and formed a abscess or a small infected sebaceous cyst. You could manage this with ibuprofen for the pain , maintain hygiene with regular washing, these tend to resolve by themselves, however if you experience more pain swelling and symptoms of flu , consider visiting your family physician for a prescription of antibiotics and a physical drainage of the puss.
