Suggest Treatment For A Painful Bump On The Upper Lip
I have a bump in the middle of the line on my upper lip. It doesn t hurt. It s not red. It s the same color as my skin and it s a little raised. It itches. I ve gotten these before but they seem to just go away in about a week or so but they normally do not itch like this. Do you have any idea what it might be? I ve had this bump for about 3/4 days and my throat is kinda sore
As per your query you have skin colored bump on lip . Well there can be many reasons for bump on lip like allergic reaction , fordyc's granule , bacterial infection and herpes . It seems to me that in you case the lump on lip is fordyc's granule or spot . Fordyce spots are a variant of sebaceous glands (the glands that normally produce sebum and are usually found within hair follicles). Fordyce spots are visible sebaceous glands without hair follicles. Usually they go away without any treatment , but if they persist consult dermatologist to find out exact cause and rule out above causes . Doctor may recommend procedure like laser therapy or electro therapy .
