Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Knee

I have a large softball size lump just below my knee, it has been there for many years and has grown larger as time has gone by. I thought it was a fatty tumor but the doctor said he didn t think that was the case. He didn t give me any idea what it could be except to say I needed to go to a learning hospital to figure it out.

Treatment for the lump on the knee-In my opinion this lump is -bursitis-of the knee.As you havent detailed the exact location, I would advise you to consult a ER Ortho-Surgeon for it proper diagnosis, at treatment would depend on the cause of the lump and type of the lump.So take treatment from your ER Ortho-Surgeon, who would treat it after due investigations and treat it accordingly.
This advise is based on the facts from the history you give and needs further clinical check.
Hence I would advise you to check with ER Ortho- Surgeon.
So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you.
