Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Vagina
hi, I am 15 years old and have a painful small shaped lump between my vagina and anus. nothing comes out when I squeeze it. I recently had severe abdominal pain and then was diagnosed with A severe urine infection. I was wondering what the link is? Thank u x

You are suffering from a painful lump between vagina and anus. You recently had a severe UTI also. Your symptom is indicative of Bartholin gland cyst. It is benign. When they get infected they feels like a lump between the vagina and anus. It is painful. Take care of your hygiene, take regular bath as ingrown hairs may also appear in the spot. The area is prone to infection as secretions are made for lubrication.
For relief, you can take sitz bath. Take acetaminophen, one SOS when pain. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae. You will be treated with a course of antibiotics & if abscess is detected it may need incision and drainage. Sometimes, the entire cyst is surgically removed of needed. Get examined & treated at the earliest. Neglect may result in the worsening of the condition.
