I just found a rash on the right side of my back that burns a little bit. I am 57 years old, is that too young for shingles? I just realized that s probably not enough information. There are lots of things that could cause a rash. I did notice that below the larger rash (aprox 3 x 1 ) there are smaller little red dots areas so that s why shingles crossed my mind.
hello Thanks for the query. Shingles present in the form of rash with water filled lesions. Also there is a lot of pain in the involved area. your symptoms are suggestive of fungal infection. fungal infections Present in the form of red patches which are mainly itchy but sometimes even burning sensation can be there. You can try an over-the-counter available antifungal Cream like clotrimazole. This should help you. Let me know if you have any other doubt. Thank you
