Suggest Treatment For A Painful Rash Under The Breast

I keep trying to read what someone else wrote, but it keeps directing me here. I have a red, moderately painful to touch rash under my breast. I is roughly circular around a pre-existing mole. I have treated it initially as if it were fungus, but it doesn t seem affected, and really isn t in what I would think a yeast outbreak would look like, i.e. limited to the area around this mole. Any thoughts?

My Dear

Welcome to this site!

I have analyzed your complaints and your problem seems related to infection of the mole that you have mentioned.

Moles in the friction prone and moist areas of the body are known to get infected and more so when these happen to be located in covered area where sweat tends to accumulate.

The forst thing that you need to do is to maintain scrupulous hygiene and keep the area well ventilated by suitable modification in your undergarments wearing habits.
Most patients in such a condition would recover by the suggestions outlined above while a a minority of them will need to use antibiotics locally. In such a case as yours, a locally applied antibiotic, and I prefer Mupirocin, is most likely to provide almost instant relief from the symptoms.

For itching, the choice of anti allergic may be made between Cetirizine or Desloratadine.

I hope and wish that you make good use of the knowledge that you have just been provided to get well soon.

Our best wishes!
