Hello,
You are suffering from a protrusion at the base of your vagina; wall. It is not painful. Your symptom may be indicative of a boil,
cyst or developing urethral / vaginal
carbuncle, vaginal prolapse(anterior / posterior / apical). Maintain hygiene, do not pop or prick. Keep it clean and wear soft loose cotton clothes. You are suggested to get clinically examined by your gynecologist, if it needs to be drained (boil and carbuncle), it will be drained and antiseptic dressing done.
If removal (cyst) is required it will be done by minor surgery and conservative (antibiotics and analgesics) given. However, in case prolapse of the vagina is detected. You will have to get done, pelvic
ultrasound,
pelvic floor MRI &
CT scan of your abdomen and pelvis so that treatment can be started at the earliest. Your treating doctor may recommend surgery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
