Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that the yellow tongue and throat problems are part of different maladies that need to be treated differently.

Yellow tongue might be due to lack of proper tongue cleaning or due to candida infection (fungal infection) due to course of antibiotics. In that case, you need to clean the tongue with the tongue cleaner regularly. If the yellow coat appears again, it can be candidiasis and can be treated with antifungal medication. You can start taking Fluconazole 150 mg (Fole) once a day for 5 -7 days. If the coat does not disappear, you should visit the dentist for clinical examination and further investigations.

The sore throat might be associated with the swelling of lymph node that drains it causing swelling in the neck behind the wisdom tooth area. It might be associated with the ear infection. As you have already completed a round of antibiotics but the condition has not improved, I advise you to visit an ENT specialist for the clinical examination of the throat and ear and further investigations and management.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
