Suggest Treatment For A Red Painful Bumps On The Vagina
Hi, I have had a rash come up on my Vagina, it is red and bumpy with some pimples looking lumps. I never normally shave however did a week ago and have been itchy since and itched it quite aggressively and then the lumps came up. They are mostly on the outside of my vagina where hair grows however there are one or two on my labia minora. I have had unprotected sex with one person, they do not have genital herpes however does get cold sores but didn t have any when we slept together
The red itchy bumps are likely razor burns. It will eventually subside on its own. Keep the area clean and dry. Apply cold compress and warm compress alternatively 3-4 times a day. Wear loose-fitting cotton undergarments.
Apply tree tea oil to the affected area. The oil has soothing and anti-bacterial properties. Apply hydrocortisone 1% ointment if itching is too bothersome. If the symptoms worsen, or you develop fever, open sores in the genitalia, then herpes need to be considered.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
