Suggest Treatment For A Reddish White Patch On The Groin Area

Hi I have a reddish white patch on both side of my groin. It s not itchy at all. I found it about 3 weeks ago. I had gone to a dermatologist and he had prescribed azonit-d. I ve been using it for the past 2 weeks and see no change. Was I misdiagnosed? What could this be?

welcome to healthcaremagic.com and myself Dr atishay Bukharia would be answering your questions.

Reddish white patch could be atypical Tinea cruris or inverse Psoriasis, in rare cases frictional vitiligo can also present like this. physical examination is must to rule out between these conditions. azonit d is a combination of steroid and antifungal so I think your dermatologist is not sure of the diagnosis because steroid is contraindicated in fungal infection.

hope it helps
