Suggest Treatment For A Small Red Bump On The Penis Head

Good evening. I received some blunt trauma to my penis today. Accidental, yes, but painful, obviously. I just got home and inspected, and noticed a small red dot (call it 1-2 cm) on the head. I have not noticed it before today, it is not raised, there is no discomfort, just a small red circle. The rest of inspection yielded nothing remarkable. I would just like to ensure that nothing is going wrong down there . I am sexually active but have not noticed a single thing and we are both each other s one partner with a guaranteed clean past history beforehand. Assuming this is from the trauma earlier, what should I keep in mind/look for?

Hi,

As you said, it can be due to trauma. Explain your trauma and how you got hurt. If its not related to trauma, it can be due to bacterial / fungal infection. Local application of antibiotics / anti-fungal can help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. S. R. Raveendran, Sexologist
