Suggest Treatment For A Swollen Cyst On The Finger

I have a mucos cyst on my finger that gets irritated and swells up and at times a little clear fluid seeps out, it became irritated and swollen again I put a band aid on it, I did bump it more than once and now it is sore, swollen and looks like it turned black, I am soaking it in warm salt water, why did it turn black and what can I do.

Hi

You seem to have developed slight hemorrhage at the cyst site .
It is important that you take proper care of the area so as to prevent any further infection .
Keep the affected area clean and dry .
Wash the affected area with lukewarm saline water twice daily.
Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin or mupirocin over the lesion twice daily.
see a nearby doctor if the lesion tends to persist or increase .
