Suggest Treatment For A Testicle Injury Caused By Hitting

I was hit in the right testicle on Friday night and by Saturday night it had doubled in size and was hard. The swelling has gone down now but I had a temperature of 38.9 on Sunday. Could that be related to being hit in the balls or something else?
I'm 36 5'11 and weight about 12 .5 stone.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

With the definite history of a hit by a ball to the right testicle indicated a direct trauma causing the swelling and the raised temperature you have.

You must go for:
-Urgent MRI and ultrasonographic color doppler study
-Urologist's opinion.
Surgical intervention may not be needed but you have to be ready if there is a circumscibed hematoma which need to be aspirated or drained.
I find this answer helpful
