Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Bloating

I am experiencing extreme bloating and swelling, am unable to have a BM without using multiple OTC aids including Magnesium Citrate, Milk of Magnesium, suppositories and enemas, have been taking Linzess and Colace daily since July and feel like I am going to explode. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy Friday. I also have had pain under my right shoulder blade and seems to worsen the more bloated I am.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of abdominal bloating which seems to be either infection or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to proton pump inhibitors and antacids such as Pantoprazole along with domperidone. You should take antispasmodics as well. Take plain and soft food and avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances. You should take oral rehydration solution for maintaining the hydration and electrolyte balance of the body. Avoid intake of large foods and try to prefer small and frequent meals. You should consult gastroenterologist once and get complete blood investigations done. Start treatment after proper diagnosis.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
