I have much discomfort in the lower stomach and small intestine area. My doctors have done numerous test on the stomach and large intestine area. It is a very on and off again nausea. It was more severe and they have not found the reason. It has gone on for over four years now. I lost 30 pounds in the beginning and now am able to stay at about weight. Also, I have lost most of my ability to taste food. Any suggestions? Thank you!
You should undergo routine blood, stool investigations with ultrasound of abdomen and upper GI scopy.
Treatment is mainly based on the underlying cause but symptomatic treatment can be taken like antibiotics, anti-inflammatory or probiotics or prebiotics.
Consult gastroenterologist for complete medical history and clinical examination with some routine and specific tests to rule out the possibilities one by one .
Thanks and regards,
