Suggest Treatment For Absent Gestational Sac On Pregnancy Scan
Hi I am pregnant according to my lmp I am 12 weeks six days I've has three ultrasounds and the first one put my due date at 11-20 which would make me 11 weeks one day today the second ultrasound I had eleven days later put me at seven weeks four days I had an ultrasound today and the tech dectected a heartbeat but no baby infact her words were... I don't see anything but then told my midwife that the sack measured at seven weeks three days and now my midwife wants me to have a d& c what should I do? What should I think?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the gestational sac has not grown according to the pregnancy duration, and there is no fetus seen inside the gestational sac, then it is most likely a blighted ovum and a failed pregnancy. D&C should be done.
