Suggest Treatment For Accidental Swallowing Of A Pebble By A Child

i believe my 19 1/2 month old daughter swallowed a small pebble and some people have said to give them a little bit of petroleum jelly to grease the intestines to make it easier to go down and come out the other end and i was just wondering is that safe to do to a child as young as her?
