Suggest Treatment For Acne And Its Scar On Face

I am suffering from a sudden bout of cystic acne.painful bumps under the skin all over my cheeks. I have had acne before and I m currently using benzac ac gel at night. It is subduing the acne a bit but the new bumps are appearing. Also it s leaving dark marks. Is there any good otc cream for the dark marks.currently I m only using benzac and zoray aquagel as sunscreen.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne and its scar on face mainly cystic acne which is due to hormonal changes and skin has increased sensitivity of getting infected. It could be due to blockage of skin pores. I would suggest you to drink plenty of water. Take antibiotics like minocycline, steroid ointment and you can go for chemical peeling for scars after proper prescription by dermatologist. Avoid touching or pricking acne. Apply aloe vera gel at night. You can apply Meladerm cream and it is purely safe to use as this is combination of hydroquinone, Tretinoin, steroid and apply it at night time. Avoid oily, fried and spicy food articles.
