Suggest Treatment For Acute Bronchitis

I have been diagnosed with acute bronchitis, I was prescribed methylprednisolone 4mg dose pack for 6 days, I was also prescribed azithromyicin, it does not really seem to be helping me, actually my lungs are tighter and I am not expelling much phlegm, this is day 3 since I seem my doctor, should I go back tomorrow?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Acute bronchitis is mostly due to viral infection.
And treatment is basically symptomatic only.
So inhaled bronchodilators and antihistamine drug are cornerstone in the treatment of acute bronchitis.
Azithromycin , being antibiotic will not give you much symptomatic relief.
So better to consult pulmonologist and start inhaled bronchodilators and antihistamine drug. Don't worry, you will be alright.
