Suggest Treatment For Acute Food Poisoning During Pregnancy
My wife is pregnant with our first child. She is 39 and this is week 9. Pregnancy was found during hospital admission for acute food poisoning. Since she was sent home she has been very weak and has had regular spotting. One day of increased bleeding but this stopped when she rested. She is drinking about 4 litres a day and has a belly described by the girls in the family as being 4-5 months pregnant. Her belly is tender to touch and she has daily sickness and lbm. - I am over 3000 miles away and only get small amounts of information. She is living in an area where there is no emergency or OB service. To get to such service is a rough 24 hour journey. Should she stay where she is or risk the journey and stay in the city for the remainder of her pregnancy?
Hello sir,I understand your concern. In my opinion tenderness of abdomen might need an ultrasound to rule out any abnormality. She is taking adequate fluids .And its always good to be in city where she gets quick emergency care when needed.Asshe is 39 and with history of spotting and bleeding she should be more careful.Adequate rest is advised.Avoid physical strain.
