My child is 4 year old nd having stomach acute pain twice or three times a day since 6 months. We gave her .we did ct scan and found that she has few enlarged lymph nodes at masentric root largest measuring 11×5.She doesn t have any fever or vomiting. What is the treatment of it?
Hi.... what your kid is having is called mesentric lymphadenitis. You need not worry about it as it is not a serious condition. It will get better by itself. Meanwhile you need to treat it symptomatically by pain medication. But in children you cannot give the same pain medications which are used for adults. I suggest you use Paracetamol in the appropriate dose every 6 hour early if the pain is there. But if the pain is very severe you can use tramadol at the dose of 1 milligram per kg body weight per dose every 8 hourly. Regards - Dr. Sumanth
