Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Was diagnosed with alcoholic hepatitis after gastritis. 2 weeks later my liver enzyme levels were all normal but ammonia level was 80. It came back to normal levels after 2 more weeks. Doctor said it was a liver injury and am now fine. Do I need a ct?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I don't think just now any need for CT scan like higher investigation. You were having alcoholic hepatitis condition and now if your all liver parameters within range than no need for further work up. You can take green leafy vegetables and fruits more. Sugarcane juice, Apple juice, orange juice, etc. beneficial. You have to limit alcohol drinking. Kindly provide your USG report that should be checked before guiding you further.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
