Suggest Treatment For Allergy
Both my children (my son is 7 and my daughter 2) suffer from allergies.My son was diagnos with allergic Rhinitis when he was a baby.Now that my daughter is 2 yrs old she is starting to develop allergy symptoms quite often.My daughter develop a runny nose on saturday with fever.I gave her 1 tsp of histal and panadol syrup and it devolped into a throaty cough.the fever has broken but now she has a chesty cough with the runny nose..Apon examination the doc told me to give her Loratadine,histal dm and broncomat and to use otrivine nose drops.she is getting a greenish discharge of mucus from the nose since saturday.Is the medication too much for her age..she weighs 27 plbs.

Well come to HCM
This could be allergic constitution and no need to treat the condition aggressively with the multi drug, simple expectorant with antihistamine would be fine else this is self limiting symptoms, if symptoms persistence with the fever then can be investigated for infection and for this routine blood work is advisable, pure honey gives excellent result and can be tried at bed time, take care and have a nice day.
