I recently went to a dentist that checked my mouth for bacteria and during the exam, the DR found an amoeba under the microscope. He sent the speciman out for a treatment plan. My question is, are there different amoebas that it has to be identified before treatment? Is there a Drug that can kill or treat various amoeba found in the mouth? Thanks. Tony~
First of all i would suggest you to relax and wait for the microscopic result to come, based upon which the treatment plan can be decided. At home take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses. Maintain a very good oral hygiene.
Take care!
