Suggest Treatment For An Infection On The Cheeks

hi, i am 32 and i have some kind of skin infection on my cheeks, on both sides of chin. If dont shave regularly, the skin flakes and these flakes come out as dandruff. and after i shave the skin becomes red and itches lightly. i had consulted a doctor, he prescribed ZINCODERM GM ointment, which i used. but it hast gone. if i shave everyday (which i usually do) i cant make out if it persists or not, i only come to know if i don t shave for a week. As of now i still have this problem, i also have severe dandruff, which comes off as flake. please help me out.

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is Acne vulgaris. You can try topical medications like clindamycin over the affected area along with topical Tretinoin.For your dandruff you may need to apply shampoos containing ketoconazole at least twice in a week.Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy.
