hi.m 27 yr old.3 year back m diagnosed as anal fissure.i hav given laxatives,fibre diet,sitz bath as treatment.for time being prblm was cured.but occured again in mean time i repeated the same treatment.a month ago i got married.now prblm was repeated. i consulted a doc here.he adviced the same.is my condition chronic.do i need a surgery.wat can i include in my diet.can i hav permanent solution for this prblm
Sorry to hear about your chronic problem as It any be very distressing. The most important thing to take care about in anal fissure is to avoid constipation.
For this taking high fibre diet like fruits, salads, green vegetables is very helpful. Apart from that make sure to take plenty of fluids and have regular walk.
You may also use isphaghul husk for constipation. You may also use topical nitrates for chronic fissures. For pain relief, topical lignocaine proves very helpful.
In spite of all these measures for a month, if still, symptoms don't improve then I would suggest you see your doctor regarding consultation of surgery.
