Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just recently I have been having this extreme pain in my anal area. Its not just when I go to the bathroom it lasts all day long just ongoing pain uncomfortablenss, I cant sit down it hurts to walk too much.
Going to the bathroom makes it worse, I've eaten an apple and some veggies to try and get more fiber intake in and it helped but it was still so painfull I was almost in tears.
I've put alo vera on it, lotion with lot of oatmeal, diper rash cream, and even soaked it in a warm bath and they have only somewhat helped me. I think its an anal fissure but im not seeing a lot of blood just a lot of pain
The only treatment for anal fissure is surgery. Meanwhile, some advice that can give are: -Using over-the-counter stool softeners. -Drinking more fluids. -Taking fiber supplements and eating more fibrous foods, such as raw fruits and vegetables. -Taking warm baths called sitz baths to relax the anal muscles, relieve irritation, and increase blood flow to the anorectal area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
