Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi i am suffereing anal fissure after my pregnancy, homeopathy has given me relief but it does occur after 2-3 months again. Is there any permanent solution. Recenlty I also get some fluid discharge which gives me terrible itching sensation. Please advise
Since, the fissure-in-ano is present for more than 3 months and developed post pregnancy the cause was obvious. This should have been healed by now after delivery.
If this has not healed in spite of homeopathy treatment, then I would advise you the following in such a situation: - Sitz bath in a tub with warm water - Stool softener and laxatives to keep the stools soft - Consult a General Surgeon for examination, and prescription-based medications like antibiotics, metronidazole, probiotics, and local ointment can be taken
If this does not help you, anal dilation or sphincterotomy may give you permanent relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
