Suggest Treatment For Ankle And Foot Pain

My friend is was having L ankle and foot pain since last 3 months which was not resolved with any conservative treatment. Finally she got a MRI for her spine, and found that she has L5-S1 posterior disc bulging causing indentation over ventral aspect of dural theca. Can you please guide me through any precautions and possible treatment for symptom relief?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
It means that there is compression of the nerves in the spine which is causing all these symptoms. If it is mild compression then treatment is physiotherapy and if it is very severe compression then treatment is surgery. In this surgery herniated disc is removed and it will decompress the nerve leading to relieving of the symptoms.
