My arm has since been hurting me more and moved to my shoulder which as become smaller. It is also very painful and sound of popping. Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I studied your case and it look like the either you had muscle sprain or a tendon tear in your shoulder. Are you able to move shoulder in all directions or there is difficulty in lifting it above shoulder because that suggest tendon tear. I would recommend you to get ultrasound of your shoulder to diagnose the injury. Till that time apply local gel like diclofenec, warm shower at shoulder and ibuprofen tablet will help.
