Hello,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. Although your symptoms are not exactly suggestive of asthma, I would think of possibility of either asthma or GERD.

2. I would suggest you to use salbutamol inhaler when you feel such attack.

3. I would also suggest you to take an antacid like omeprazole for 2-4 weeks before meals regularly.

4. For exact diagnosis, I would suggest you a test known as spirometry with post-bronchodilator study.

5. In fact, smoking worsen both of the suspected conditions - asthma and GERD. So I would highly recommend you to seek professional help for quitting smoking.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards.
