Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, APKD is an autosomal dominant kidney disease, meaning 50% of children with parents having this disease will get it. It can also be a recessive disease in children. The main finding is cysts in major organs, like kidneys, liver, spleen, pancreas, brain, blood vessels, etc.
No medical treatment will revert it,once detected. The kidney function tests like urea, creatinine, urine routine and culture,micro-albumin,will give us an idea, about stage of disease, and if any surgical treatment can be done for complications. You can contact me for expert opinion, with reports.
